The rules for booking with Palace Nails & Spa, for what happens when plans change, and for using this website.
Last updated 20 October 2026
The short version. Booking online holds a time for you; we confirm it. Tell us as early as you can if you cannot make it. Prices on the menu are what we charge unless the work turns out to be bigger than it looked, in which case we will say so before starting. Tell us about allergies and medical conditions. Be decent to the people working here, and we will be decent to you.
These terms are an agreement between you and Palace Nails & Spa, of 4400 Elverta Rd Ste 160, Antelope, CA 95843. "We" and "us" mean the shop; "you" means whoever is booking, visiting, or using this website.
They apply when you book an appointment with us, when you come in, and when you use https://palacenailsspa.com. Using the site means you accept them. How we handle your information is a separate document — the Privacy Notice — and it forms part of these terms.
These are the house rules, and they are the same ones on the notice by the till:
Thank you, and sorry for any inconvenience.
The reason the third one is in bold: a nail that is not right is almost always a five-minute fix while you are still in the chair, and almost never fixable once you have gone home and the polish has cured. Tell whoever is running the shop that day before you leave and we will put it right at no charge. That is what “no refunds on services rendered” is paired with — we would rather redo the work than argue about money, and we cannot redo work we are not told about.
None of this takes away rights the law gives you. If a service was not carried out with reasonable care and skill, you keep whatever remedy California law provides, whatever this page says.
When you book on this website, the time is held for you straight away and you are given a booking reference. Treat it as confirmed. We will contact you only if something has gone wrong at our end — somebody off sick, a problem with the building — and in that case we will offer you the nearest alternative we have.
Everyone in a group booking is your responsibility to get here. If one of three people does not arrive, the other two are still welcome and we will do what we can with the time we have held.
Ring us. We will hold your place as long as we can, which depends entirely on who is booked after you. In practice:
Tell us as early as you can. A time nobody takes is a time nobody is paid for, and a morning's notice is usually enough for us to fill it.
If we have to cancel on you, we will tell you as soon as we know and offer you the next best time. If we cancel at the door through our own fault, say so and we will make it right.
Payment is due at the end of your appointment. We take the methods shown at the counter and on our website.
Tips are entirely yours to decide, including nothing. Any tip you leave goes to the person who did your work. The suggested percentages on the screen are a convenience, not an expectation, and you can always type your own amount or leave it blank.
Please tell us before we start about any allergy, skin condition, infection, injury, diabetes, circulatory problem, recent surgery, or if you are pregnant. Some products and some treatments are not suitable, and we would far rather change the plan than treat you and cause harm.
If something is not right, tell us within seven days and come back in. We will look at it and, where it is our work at fault, put it right at no charge. We would much rather fix it than read about it later — see “If something goes wrong”.
We are happy to treat children. Anyone under 18 must be booked in by a parent or guardian, who is agreeing to these terms on their behalf, and a parent or guardian must stay in the shop throughout. Children who are not being treated are welcome to wait with you, as long as they stay with you — there is hot wax, there are sharp tools, and the floor is not a play area.
Everyone working here is entitled to a civil day. We will end an appointment and ask somebody to leave, and we may decline to book them again, for abuse, threats, racism, harassment of staff or other customers, or arriving intoxicated. Work already done is still payable.
We may also decline a booking where somebody has repeatedly not turned up, or where we do not have anyone free who can do the service safely.
Please keep your things with you. We are not responsible for any personal items left behind. We cannot take responsibility for personal property lost or damaged in the shop, except where it is our fault. Nail products, dyes and removers can mark fabric; we take care, but please do not wear anything irreplaceable.
We photograph work we are proud of for this website and for social media. These are normally close-ups with nobody identifiable in them. If a photograph would show your face or identify you, we will ask you first, and no is a complete answer. If a picture of your work is already published and you want it removed, tell us and we will take it down.
We would love a review and we publish the good and the awkward alike. By leaving one on this website you confirm it is your own honest experience, and you allow us to publish it with the name you signed it with. We will not edit the substance of what you wrote. We may decline to publish, or remove, a review that is abusive, names a member of staff in order to attack them, contains someone's private details, or is not about an actual visit.
The text, photographs, service menu and design of this website belong to us. You are welcome to share a link, print a page for your own use, or quote us. You may not copy the site wholesale, use our photographs as if they were your own work, or trade off our name.
We keep the site accurate and running, but we cannot promise it is never wrong and never down. Prices, opening hours and availability can change, and an error on a page does not oblige us to honour it — though if the mistake is ours and you booked in good faith, we will do the decent thing.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not permit us to limit. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our liability for any one appointment is limited to what you paid for it — or to putting the work right, if that is what you would rather have.
Tell us before you leave the salon. Most things that end up as a bad review were five minutes from being fixed at the time, and we are more than happy to correct the problem while you are still here — see our general policies. Once you have gone home there is usually nothing left to correct, which is why there are no refunds on services already carried out. Call +1 (916) 745-4815, email info@palacenailsspa.com, use the contact form, or ask for whoever is running the shop that day. We will listen, and we will tell you what we are going to do about it.
We may change these terms. The version that applies to your appointment is the one published when you booked it, so a change cannot be applied backwards to a booking you have already made. The date at the top always says when the wording last changed.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of CA and of the United States, and any dispute belongs in the courts there. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
Nothing here takes away rights you have as a consumer that cannot be signed away.
